Bethlehem - Ofoq News - Ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz fell to its lowest level in more than two months, following an escalation in attacks on oil tankers, while an increase in exports through the Gulf of Oman and the Red Sea helped offset the decline in crude flows through the strait, according to data from Kpler Analytics.
The company recorded the crossing of only 7 cargo ships last Tuesday, which is the lowest number since July 23, before traffic increased to 10 ships on Wednesday, compared to more than 20 ships per day on Sunday and Monday.
The decline came after attacks on tankers passing through the strait last week reached their highest levels since the start of the war, according to sources specializing in maritime security who follow the incidents.
