The New Zealand police stated in a statement today, Tuesday, that the assistant pilot of Flydubai who stabbed the captain of the plane in what is reported to be an attempt to bring it down last week was in New Zealand to complete part of his flight training for a company based in the United Kingdom.
The police clarified that the man was residing in New Zealand from November 2018 to May 2019 on a six-month student visa.
