The Qatari Cabinet renewed Qatar's condemnation, in the strongest terms, on Wednesday, of the Houthi targeting of an electricity distribution station in Medina, which serves the Prophet's Mosque and civilian facilities, according to a statement issued by the council.
The Qatari Cabinet described the targeting as "a serious assault on the sanctity of Islamic holy sites, and considered it a clear provocation to the feelings of Muslims, an unacceptable disregard for the lives of civilians, and a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom.",
In this context, Doha affirmed its full solidarity with Riyadh, standing by it in all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and Islamic holy sites.
Qatar also emphasized that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the State of Qatar and the collective security system of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
