An informed source said, on Monday, that the United States had returned long-range bombers to their original bases in America following the emergence of a new threat whose nature was not disclosed, days after the British government arrested people in connection with an alleged Iranian plot that targeted the British air base where those bombers were stationed. A Defense Ministry official told Ofoq News Network: “We can now confirm that all American bombers that were deployed at the Royal Air Force’s Fairford base have been returned to their original bases in the United States.”
The official's statement did not include details about the reasons for transferring the bombers. For his part, the informed source described it as any actual and tangible threat.
It is noteworthy that the Royal Air Force's Fairford base was used to deploy American B-1 bombers participating in operations related to Iran.
