Qatar Airways noted the implementation of “field procedures simulating emergency response” at Hamad International Airport on Monday, as part of the “Homeland 2026” exercise, stressing that these procedures will not affect flights. Qatar Airways said in its newspaper on “X”: “Qatar Airways notes that field procedures simulating emergency response will be implemented at Hamad International Airport (HIA) today, Monday, November 2, as part of the Watan 2026 exercise.”
Qatar Airways added: “Travelers and visitors to the airport may notice field activity and training activities in specific locations, in addition to some air activities accompanying the exercise, noting that the movement of flights and services provided to passengers will not be affected and will continue their normal operation.” Qatar plays the role of mediator between America and Iran, and is leading diligent efforts to avoid any possible escalation after the midterm elections in the United States of America.
