The official spokesman for the "Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen", Major General Turki Al-Maliki, confirmed that 100 fighter jets participated early today in the "Yemen Dawn" operation.

The spokesman also added in a statement today, Monday, that air support for the Yemeni armed forces is ongoing on the ground around the clock.

He explained that 324 high-value targets were destroyed with the launch of the "Yemen Dawn" operation, adding that the engagement with moving targets continues.

Additionally, he pointed out that the coalition provides air protection for the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The official spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, announced earlier today the launch of Operation "Yemen's Dawn" on a wide scale to target the capabilities and elements of the Houthis.

He also indicated that the Giants Forces and the National Shield succeeded in controlling Bab al-Mandab, adding that the Dhubab airport is also under the control of the government forces.

He explained that the forces cut the road between Dhubab and Al-Mokha and tightened their fire control over it, noting that hundreds of Houthi elements are besieged in the Dhubab area and must surrender.

Additionally, he pointed out that some elements of the Houthi militia fled by boats across the sea after being besieged.

This operation came after the Houthis escalated their attacks last month on Yemeni forces and advanced towards the Red Sea coast and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, a vital passage for shipping and oil tankers.

After years of relative calm, confrontations in Yemen have resumed since last July with the collapse of a truce that was established in 2022 between the Houthis and the legitimate government, against the backdrop of the widening scope of the war in the Middle East between Iran and America.
