Tehran - Ofoq News - The Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Ahmed Vahidi, confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz represents a strategic red line for Iran, stressing Tehran’s rejection of the presence of any forces from outside the region in the Strait or the threat or interference in it. Wahidi said that protecting and preserving the Strait of Hormuz is directly related to national interests

Tehran - Ofoq News - The Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Ahmed Vahidi, confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz represents a strategic red line for Iran, stressing Tehran’s rejection of the presence of any forces from outside the region in the Strait or the threat or interference in it.

Vahidi said that protecting and preserving the Strait of Hormuz is directly related to Iranian national interests, stressing that Iran considers the security of the Strait a strategic issue.

He added that any presence of forces outside the region in the Strait of Hormuz, or attempts to use it to threaten and interfere, is unacceptable from the Iranian point of view.
