The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announces the burning of 7 ships near Hormuz... and sends a warning to the American army

They also announced that 3 other ships were damaged and their fire broke out after they collided with naval mines west of the Strait of Hormuz. The semi-official Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported that the Public Relations of the Revolutionary Guards Naval Forces said that the seven ships had been involved in accidents in two separate operations, noting that the first four ships had previously crossed a route it described as “illegal,” before naval fighters spotted and tracked them.

The statement added that the four ships were transporting oil shipments from one ship to another in the middle of the northern Gulf, and that they were all hit at the same time, confirming that they caught fire. In a separate incident, the Public Relations of the Navy stated that last night, 3 other ships were damaged and caught fire after colliding with naval mines west of the Strait of Hormuz, which led to their stopping.

The statement accused the United States of inciting ships to cross what it described as an “illegal passage filled with mines,” noting that Washington’s insistence on this approach leads to an increase in maritime accidents day after day. The Revolutionary Guard issued a warning to the US Army, saying that the continuation of this approach “will lead to the scope of the confrontation extending to the aggressors’ bases in the region.”
