The Israeli elections perpetuate racism and fascism

Unfortunately, some Arabs and Palestinians alike still pin their hopes on the results of the Israeli Knesset elections. In my belief, there are no fundamental differences between the various Israeli trends and parties, whether between Benjamin Netanyahu and the ruling right-wing coalition, or between them and the party blocs that constitute the so-called opposition.

The differences within the components of the Israeli parties revolve around internal issues, especially the differences between Easterners and Westerners, and between religious and secularists, while there remain commonalities related to the Palestinian issue, the most prominent of which are:

Rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Rejecting the two-state solution.

Supporting the annexation of Judea and Samaria (West Bank).

Supporting the policies of displacing Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Therefore, we, Arabs and Palestinians, must not be complacent, but rather continue to confront the Zionist settlement project, which, according to this vision, is not limited to the occupation of Palestine and the Syrian Golan, but rather extends to strengthening security control in southern Syria, controlling water sources, including the Yarmouk Dam, as well as deepening influence in southern Lebanon.

These policies, in my opinion, go beyond the limits of control over the occupied territories, and seek to expand Israeli influence at the expense of Arab lands and waters, within a project referred to as the concept of “Greater Israel.”

Accordingly, the challenge before the Arab and Palestinian peoples is to realize the dimensions of these policies, follow their developments, and work to confront them by political, diplomatic and legal means, in defense of Palestinian and Arab rights. And that confrontation

The military will not stop despite the negotiations and its normalization approachSome are in accordance with President Donald Trump’s concept of Brahimi normalization, which dedicates the Greater “Israel” to the Middle East and Africa.

Therefore, the issue of betting on penetrating Israeli society will not be of benefit in Israel's strategic dimension.
