Al-Maliki wrote in a series of short posts on his page on the platform "X," formerly Twitter: "We secure air protection for the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the engagement with moving targets continues."
The spokesman for the coalition pointed out the provision of "air support to assist the Yemeni armed forces on the ground around the clock." He revealed that "100 fighter jets participated early today in the operation 'Dawn of Yemen'" and announced the destruction of "324 high-value targets" since the operation began.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Alimi, announced on Sunday the start of military operations against the Houthis to "restore state institutions and assert its authority over all national territory," as he stated. Alimi wrote on Monday through his page on the "X" platform: "With the blessing of God, the operation 'Dawn of Yemen' has commenced to restore state institutions, liberate the capital Sana'a, and end the coup of the terrorist Houthi militias."
He added: "With God's help, the will of our people, the bravery of our armed forces and all military formations, and the support of our brothers and friends, Yemen will move towards a new dawn of freedom, peace, and stability."
