The Red Sea Film Foundation continued the activities of the seventh session of the feature films program in the Korean capital, Seoul, in partnership with the Film Independent Foundation, and with the participation of filmmakers from the Kingdom, the Arab world, Asia and Africa, as part of its efforts to support cinematic talents and develop their projects.
The station witnessed a series of workshops and specialized sessions that focused on developing cinematic projects and exchanging experiences with film industry specialists, which contributes to enhancing the creative and professional aspects of the participating works, and preparing them for the production and marketing stages.
The activities also included a dialogue session within the “Inspire” series, which discussed the role of stories drawn from local environments and cultures in reaching a global audience, and the importance of preserving their authenticity and cultural identity.
In its seventh session, the program includes 12 cinematic projects, including three Saudi projects and nine international projects, subject to specialized development paths that include screenwriting, directing and production, under the supervision of experts and specialists in the film industry.
The program aims to prepare projects to participate in international cinema markets, and provide opportunities to communicate with producers, distributors and supporting bodies. The participating teams are scheduled to continue their training journey in their next stop in Los Angeles, in preparation for presenting their projects in the Red Sea Market, during the next session of the Red Sea International Film Festival.
