The Sheikh meets with the head of the Dutch representative office in Palestine

Ramallah - Ofoq News - The Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Al-Sheikh, met today, Wednesday, with the Head of the Representative Office of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the State of Palestine, Ambassador Michel Rintenaar, and discussed with him the latest political developments and the situation in Palestine, on the occasion of the end of his duties representing the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the State of Palestine.

The Sheikh welcomed Ambassador Reintner, expressing his pride in the friendship that unites the two countries, and his high appreciation for his role, efforts and positions, and the positions of the Dutch government in support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, praising his sincerity and work to achieve peace and stability, wishing him success and success in his future tasks.

The meeting touched on the occupation forces’ obstruction of the work of the representation and other diplomatic missions in the West Bank, within the framework of the procedures and restrictions imposed by the occupation authorities, and the violation of diplomatic norms it represents.

The meeting also discussed the difficult humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, in light of the continuing suffering that our people are experiencing, and the urgent need to intensify international efforts to ensure the introduction of humanitarian aid and the provision of basic needs, and work to end the suffering of citizens, as well as the conditions in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, in light of the escalation of Israeli attacks and occupation measures.

The Sheikh stressed the difficult conditions that our people are experiencing, stressing the importance of continuing international action to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, strengthen their steadfastness, and achieve a just peace based on international legitimacy resolutions.

For his part, Ambassador Rentner expressed his concern about the deteriorating situation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in light of the continuing attacks and human suffering, stressing the importance of supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and supporting them in facing the difficult circumstances in which they live.

He expressed his pride in the friendly relations between him and the Palestinian side, stressing his keenness to continue communication and strengthen these relations, and to continue efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability.
