The mayor of Carmel moves to pave the roads...a field tour with the local government and the Islamic Development Bank

Hebron - Ofoq News - Today, Saturday, the mayor of Carmel, Qasim Abu Aram, led a field movement to discuss the town’s needs for infrastructure projects, most notably the rehabilitation and paving of internal roads, during his reception of a delegation from the Ministry of Local Government, the advisory office of the Islamic Development Bank, and the Yatta Rural Development and Services Council.
The delegation included Engineer Muhammad Al-Qadi, Director of Projects Funded by the Islamic Development Bank, Engineer Shadi Janazra, Director of the Projects Department in the Local Government Directorate in Hebron, Engineer Basil Qatini from the Engineering Consulting Office of the Islamic Development Bank, and Engineer Marwan Al-Mahaniya, representative of the Yatta Rural Joint Services Council, along with a number of engineers from the Ministry of Local Government.
During the meeting, Abu Aram presented the needs of the town of Carmel and the municipality’s priorities in the field of infrastructure, stressing the importance of rehabilitating and paving a number of vital streets that need urgent intervention. He also presented the delegation with the municipality’s proposals regarding priority projects and the possibility of financing their implementation.
After that, the delegation, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality, Hajj Ismail Atayat, set off on a field tour to Al-Khalidiya Street in Carmel, with the aim of seeing the current reality of the street and the area on the ground, and studying it in preparation for making appropriate decisions related to the possibility of implementing paving projects for it and discussing the possibility of financing its paving. The tour included an inspection of previous development projects of the Ministry and the Islamic Bank.
The tour also included reviewing a number of development projects that had previously been implemented with support from the Ministry of Local Government and the Islamic Development Bank, within the framework of assessing current needs and determining priorities for intervention during the next phase.
The Carmel Municipality confirmed that this move comes within the framework of the mayor and the municipal council’s follow-up on infrastructure issues, and working to attract the necessary funding to implement projects that serve the town’s residents and improve the reality of its roads and services.
