Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir said that he personally went to Ketziot Prison in southern Israel after he received a photo of a meal served to a security prisoner, which showed the presence of 8 olives instead of 6.
According to what was reported by the newspaper "Israel Hayom" on Friday, Ben Gvir narrated during an interview with Shimon Riklin on Channel 14 that he was fasting when he received the photo, which prompted him to go to prison on a trip that took about 3 hours.
Ben Gvir said that when he arrived in Ketziot, he summoned the leaders of the Prison Service, including the commissioner and the prison leaders, and showed them the picture, asking: “Don’t you understand? Eight olives instead of six?”
According to his account, the Prison Service officials looked at each other, and what happened was considered a failure to adhere to the instructions related to the meals of security prisoners.
Ben Gvir added, according to "Israel Hayom", that he informed the officials that the policy he follows inside the prisons is based on not providing anything that exceeds the specified minimum for security prisoners, and he said that "judgment begins with the olive tree," in reference to his strictness in implementing prison procedures.
