Vice President J.D. Vance defended President Donald Trump's recent tendency to praise Ohio Sen. Jon Husted's butt as an example of a politician who "doesn't take himself too seriously." Vance joked with Fox News anchor Jesse Watters when the broadcaster asked him about Trump's comments he made during an open meeting recorded earlier, Thursday, in Texas: “Well, first of all, I'm jealous.
The US Vice President added: “The president, as you know, is essentially a comedian, and he likes to get on stage and create some change or excitement.” Vance continued: "I think this is a good example of a politician who does not take himself too seriously. He goes up to the podium to enjoy himself, and this enjoyment comes in the context of working to save the United States of America."
Trump has repeatedly commented on the Ohio senator's physique at rallies over the past month, even crediting her with improving the struggling Republican's poll numbers.
