After announcing the launch of a wide operation to restore the state's sovereignty in Yemen and all areas under the control of the Houthi militias, the Yemeni forces announced the implementation of more than a thousand operations against the Houthis within hours.

The spokesperson for the Yemeni forces, Majid Al-Nazili, stated in a statement today, Monday, that the forces carried out 1,122 precise targeting operations against artillery positions, rocket launchers, defensive fortifications, approaches and reinforcements, supply lines and means, combat reinforcements and mobilizations, governing bodies, and command and control centers belonging to the Houthi militia.

He also clarified that these targets affected various fronts in Saada, Al-Jawf, Taiz, and the coast. He added that the operations varied between warplanes, drones, artillery, missiles, rocket launchers, and snipers.

In addition, the spokesperson indicated that these targeting operations resulted, according to field reports, in the killing of 1,747 militia elements and the destruction of 364 vehicles, equipment, and military transport and supply means.

He emphasized that the armed forces will continue to carry out their tasks steadfastly in the battle for liberation and the restoration of the state's territories and institutions.

Yemeni President Rashad Alimi announced yesterday, Sunday, the launch of a military operation to regain the territories controlled by the Houthis.

This operation came after the Houthis escalated their attacks last month on Yemeni forces and advanced towards the Red Sea coast and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, a vital passage for shipping and oil tankers.

After years of relative calm, confrontations in Yemen have renewed since last July with the collapse of a truce established in 2022 between the Houthis and the legitimate government, against the backdrop of the widening scope of the war in the Middle East between Iran and America.
