The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the implementation of 2,200 precise targeting operations, carried out by warplanes, drones, field artillery, launchers, and sniper units, as part of the ongoing “Yemen Dawn” operation.
The official spokesman for the armed forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nuzaili, explained in a statement on Tuesday that initial field estimates indicate the neutralization of about 1,200 Houthi elements, and the destruction and damage of more than 440 military vehicles, vehicles, and vehicles belonging to the militia in various axes of operations.
Al-Nazili also pointed out that the armed forces continued to develop their offensive actions, on the eastern and southern fronts, achieving field progress under intense fire support, and the targeting focused on dismantling the enemy defense system, by targeting command and control centers, fortifications and fire sources, observation and reconnaissance points, areas of mobilization and reserve deployment, weapons and ammunition depots, means of transportation and supply, and high-value military targets in depth.
In Taiz, concentrated strikes crushed the militia convoys and reinforcements, dispersed their mobilizations, and disrupted their ability to support their positions and reorganize their forces.
While military engineering units on the Western Front continue to clear sites and recovered areas of mines and explosive devices planted by the Houthis, and secure roads and corridors to protect civilians and facilitate their return.
Al-Nazili also confirmed that the targeting was carried out against legitimate military targets, in accordance with the rules of international humanitarian law and the principles of distinction, proportionality and due precautions.
It is noteworthy that Operation “Yemen Dawn” was launched on October 5, with the aim of restoring state institutions, liberating the capital, Sana’a, and ending the Houthi militia coup.
