After 94 agreements worth more than one billion riyals in its past three editions, the Saudi Film Forum returns to Riyadh for its fourth edition on October 28 and 29, bringing together decision-makers, investors, producers, directors, and actors in the film industry, with a focus on expanding investment opportunities and building new partnerships in the sector.
The fourth edition will be launched under the patronage of Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Film Authority, at JAX Film Studios in Riyadh, under the slogan “Meeting the Scene Makers,” under the supervision of the Film Authority and organized by the “Punchmark” company.
The forum brings together production and distribution companies, artistic and technical service providers, investors, funds, educational institutions and relevant government agencies, in a platform aimed at linking various filmmaking circles.
The forum focuses on transforming meetings between sector parties into opportunities for cooperation, investment and making agreements, in addition to exchanging experiences and knowledge, in a way that supports the growth of the film industry in the Kingdom.
The new edition will be held over two days in a professional format targeting leaders, decision-makers, company heads, representatives of government agencies and non-profit institutions, in addition to producers, directors, screenwriters, production and distribution companies, and artistic and technical service providers.
The forum includes a conference, dialogue sessions, and an exhibition for companies working in the film industry, in addition to specialized workshops, allowing direct communication between project owners, expertise, and investment and financing entities.
The fourth edition comes after an economic outcome recorded by the previous three editions, represented by the signing of 94 agreements with a total value exceeding one billion riyals, which gives the new edition momentum to attract more investments and partnerships related to the film industry.
Through the forum, the Film Commission seeks to support and empower the film industry in the Kingdom, and enhance the sector’s growth and its ability to compete regionally and internationally.
