A man falls from a roller coaster in an American park... in front of his wife and daughter

In a terrifying scene, a visit to an amusement park located near the American city of Atlanta turned into a real tragedy, after a man fell from a high “rollercoaster.”

Yesterday, Tuesday, the American police announced that a man from the city of Atlanta was killed in an accident that occurred on a roller coaster at the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park, after he fell from the train and collided with other visitors before falling down.

Cobb County Police also said that the man who died the day before yesterday was called Hassan Jihad Ibn Karim, and he was 42 years old.

While visitors to the theme park described seeing the man fall from the roller coaster car and fall to his death.

Karim was riding the Goliath roller coaster with his son when he was thrown from his seat during the ride.

While his wife and daughter were watching the flight from the ground at the time of the accident, according to what was reported by American media.

One witness said, Karim somehow got out of his seat, then crashed into the roller coaster several times before falling onto the roof of one of the horror houses inside the park.

In turn, one of the women who was on board the game said: “He collided with a girl who was sitting two rows in front of us, in the place where memorial photos are taken... His blood splashed on everyone, then his body fell behind one of the horror facilities.”

One of the passengers, speaking about the souvenir photos taken during the flight, also confirmed: “Photos of the person can be seen outside his seat, and he can be seen above the girl in her row.”

For its part, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation temporarily closed nine roller coasters at six amusement parks "as a precautionary measure," according to a company spokesman, who said that park employees and local authorities responded immediately and that the park is cooperating with the investigation, according to what the Associated Press reported.

The Goliath roller coaster, which opened in 2006, reaches a maximum speed of 113 kilometers per hour with a height of 61 meters, according to the park’s website.

The death would be at least the seventh at the Georgia park, including a 2006 incident in which a man suffered a heart attack on a Goliath roller coaster, according to the Duane Law Firm, which tracks theme park accidents and represents victims.

It is noteworthy that Six Flags has been operating this famous roller coaster (Goliath) near the city of Atlanta for two decades, where it takes thrill-seekers on steel tracks manufactured in the United States at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour. When the game opened, the company described it as one of the most important new additions to the park since its opening in 1967.

For Six Flags Entertainment, this incident represents a pivotal moment that could define its future. Since its merger with competitor Cedar Fair in July 2024, the company has struggled to increase visitor numbers and revenues.
