Spanish media revealed a new development in the private life of Colombian star Shakira, the girlfriend of former defender Gerard Pique, who is about to close the curtain on her “Women Don’t Cry Anymore” world tour, which has been ongoing since February of last year.

Spanish journalist Jordi Martin reported that Shakira was recently seen close to former basketball star Serge Ibaka, a former Real Madrid player who played for the Orlando Magic, Toronto Raptors, and Los Angeles Clippers.

According to the same source, Ibaka attended several Shakira concerts as part of her artistic residency in Madrid, which consisted of thirteen concerts from September 18 to October 12, in a temporary stadium specially built for her and called Shakira Stadium.

Ibaka had also attended her concert last July at the Barclays Center in New York, and posted pictures from the evening on his Instagram account and wrote, “What a wonderful show,” and appeared in a funny picture next to her in which she joked about the height difference between them, as he is 208 centimeters tall compared to her 157 centimeters.

The journalist pointed out that Shakira and Ibaka traveled together on a private plane from Madrid to Paris during a short stop between parties, where the star headed to attend Paris Fashion Week, an event that Ibaka, known for his passion for fashion, is keen to attend constantly.

Both parties remained silent and did not comment on this news, and followers also noted that they do not follow each other on Instagram.

The news came just days after Shakira and her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique appeared in court to discuss reducing intercontinental trips for their two children, Milan and Sasha.
