An official source in the Saudi Ministry of Energy stated that on Tuesday evening, October 13, 2026, one of the administrative buildings belonging to Saudi Aramco in the city of Dhahran in the Eastern Province was targeted, resulting in a limited fire.

The source explained that the competent authorities began dealing with the incident and taking the necessary measures, confirming that no injuries or deaths occurred.

Saudi Aramco is the largest oil company in the world in terms of crude oil production, and operates a wide network of oil and industrial facilities and installations in the Eastern Province, which represents the operational heart of the energy industry in the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia confirms that it has an advanced system to protect the infrastructure of the energy sector, with continued investments in enhancing the security of vital facilities and the reliability of supplies.

Aramco represents a fundamental pillar of the economy, as it contributes mainly to global energy supplies and is one of the largest companies listed on financial markets in terms of market value.

The CEO of Saudi Aramco, Amin Nasser, confirmed during the World Petroleum Conference in Riyadh that the Saudi energy system continued to perform with high levels of reliability despite the recent challenges, noting that the company has invested over the years in enhancing operational flexibility by diversifying export routes, expanding storage, and using advanced technologies to protect and sustain operations.

Al-Nasser described the navigation disturbances in the Strait of Hormuz and the recent attacks targeting energy facilities in the region as unprecedented attacks on the artery of the global economy, stressing that targeting energy infrastructure does not only affect producing countries, but extends to energy markets and the entire global economy.
