Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - The Israeli Channel 14 website revealed that the alert level within the Israeli security system has been raised to its highest level, amid growing fears of a renewed military confrontation with Iran, and the possibility that Tehran will launch a large-scale attack with the aim of surprising Israel and directing the first strike.

According to the report, the Israeli security establishment fears that Iran will seek to change the rules of confrontation, after it was twice previously surprised by Israeli operations, and will choose to launch a large-scale pre-emptive attack instead of waiting for a new Israeli move, which may ignite a new round of direct confrontation between the two countries.

The report indicated that Israeli concerns are increasing despite the severe economic crisis facing Iran, as the Iranian regime, according to Israeli estimates, continues to allocate significant resources to rebuilding its military capabilities, including ballistic missiles, their launch platforms, and drones, in addition to restoring capabilities that were damaged in previous attacks.

On the other hand, Israel is working to enhance its operational readiness to face multiple scenarios, including the possibility of being exposed to a sudden Iranian attack, in addition to preparing for the possibility of resuming strikes inside Iran in coordination with the United States.

However, the report confirmed that no official decision has yet been taken from the Israeli political level regarding launching a new round of military operations, indicating that raising readiness primarily reflects concern about the possibility of rapid escalation.

These developments coincide with the approaching Israeli elections, in light of security estimates that any new military decision may have broad repercussions on the security and political levels.
