Celine Dion closes the Paris shows with a dress from 1997 and a 94-year-old necklace

- Canadian singer Celine Dion returned to the high fashion of the French house “Chanel”, with a look specially designed for her to open her last shows in the French capital, Paris, in the year 2026, recalling her famous look on the red carpet for the Oscars in 1997. The new dress was signed by Matthew Blazy, the creative director of the fashion house, in evocation of Dion’s look from the spring/summer 1997 haute couture collection.

According to what the house published on its official Instagram account, the dress was made entirely by hand in its workshops located on Rue Cambon 31 in the French capital, Paris, with special embroidery carried out by Atelier Montex, one of the houses of fine artistic crafts. The dress was distinguished by an open-shoulder, heart-shaped bodice, the colors of which ranged between silver and bright indigo blue, which extended from the edges of the story down the length of the skirt, with a front slit in the middle.

The evocation of the 1997 look was not limited to the dress, but also extended to the jewelry, as Dion chose the “Comet” necklace from the French house’s jewelry, inspired by the necklace she wore in her previous appearance at the Oscars. The original design dates back to 1932, when the founder of the house, Gabrielle, known as Coco Chanel, launched her only fine jewelry collection.

The look was completed with black satin shoes designed by the French house "Massaro", a high bun hairstyle pulled back, and soft makeup.
