Egypt aims to increase its agricultural area to 11 million acres during the current fiscal year 2026-2027, compared to 10.5 million acres at the end of the last fiscal year 2025-2026, according to the citizen’s budget published by the Egyptian Ministry of Finance.
According to the data, Egypt seeks to reach 400 thousand acres of land devoted to organic agriculture.
It is also intended to increase the area of wheat cultivation in the Toshka area to reach 750,000 acres, and to plant 2.3 million palm trees of the finest varieties for export.
The most important national programs for horizontal expansion of the Egyptian agricultural sector are concentrated in the New Delta, northern and central Sinai, the southern Egyptian countryside, and the southern Toshka Valley.
