On Monday, the fighting fronts northwest of Lahj, western Yemen, witnessed violent battles between government forces and Houthi militia militants in the Al-Mudaraba District.
Field sources reported that the battles were concentrated on the fronts of Al-Aghubrah, Al-Mansoura and Al-Tajarah, which is 48 kilometers east of Bab Al-Mandab, after an attack by the Houthis on the "Giants' Forces" that have been stationed there since Sunday.
Field sources indicated that Houthi military build-ups, and the use of heavy artillery fire cover and marches, were on these fronts in an attempt to penetrate the region and reach the strategic Mount Hawab.
The "Giants' Brigades" reported that on Monday they had strengthened the front of the Mudaraba District in Lahj Governorate, adjacent to the Al-Wazi'iyah District in Taiz Governorate, to confront the Houthi militia and break any attempts to advance towards the Subaiha areas.
In a tweet on its page on the “X” platform, the “Giants’ Brigades” praised the fighting of the people of the Sabiha tribes to defend their land, stressing “the unity of destiny in the existential battle against the Houthis.” It also appreciated the coalition's air support.
The Giants Brigades published scenes of dozens of Houthi prisoners receiving health care in a hospital.
