Iranian Foreign Minister: We are ready to give diplomacy a chance if we find a sincere American desire

- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that his country is ready to give diplomacy another chance, if it finds a “sincere desire” from the United States to reach a “just” solution. Araqchi wrote through his account on the X platform: “We are ready to give diplomacy another chance if we see evidence of a sincere American desire to reach a just solution.”

He added: "But if the United States chooses war instead of diplomacy, this will certainly lead to greater strategic failure." Over the past month, Iranian military leaders have intensified their public statements, claiming that Iran has built up huge stockpiles of new weapons ready to be used to target sites outside the region if the United States resumes the combat operations that began in February.

Over the past few weeks, White House advisers have held meetings to discuss various options regarding Iran. Although Trump publicly announced that he would not take new measures before the midterm congressional elections, a number of his advisors told the Ofoq News network in private conversations that they do not know whether this statement is final, or whether it may change before Election Day, corresponding to November 3.

The US military has drawn up new plans to launch strikes, including the possibility of using the so-called “mother of all bombs” to target Iranian energy infrastructure and nuclear sites, if Trump issues an order to resume combat operations, whether before or after the midterm elections, according to a number of US officials familiar with the matter. The GBU-43/B, known as the Massive Air Burst Bomb (MOAB), is the largest non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal, and its use would constitute a major escalation.

Iranian army commander Ali Reza Sheikh said on Saturday: “These are propaganda tools aimed at intimidating the Iranian people,” and added: “The Iranian people are the father of bombs.”
