Al-Arabiya / Al-Hadath correspondent reported, on Sunday, that 4 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids targeting various areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn today, at a time when Israeli forces continue bombing and shooting operations despite the validity of the ceasefire agreement.
For its part, the Israeli army said that its forces carried out a raid today in the Khan Yunis area, resulting in the killing of Saqr Nabil Musa al-Qaisi, whom it accused of belonging to the elite unit of the Hamas movement and participating in the October 7 attack.
The army added that Al-Qaisi was the director of the Deniz Fenri Association, claiming that the association was linked to parties in the Hamas leadership and providing financial support to the movement. It also accused him of working during the recent period to implement plans against Israeli forces and citizens, according to a post by Israeli army spokeswoman Ella Wawiyah on the “X” platform.
The new raids come in light of the continuing deaths and injuries in the Gaza Strip in recent days, as medical sources reported, yesterday, Saturday, that 5 Palestinians, including 4 women, were killed in an Israeli raid that targeted a residential apartment west of Gaza City. Other areas also witnessed artillery shelling and bombing of buildings in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of the city, according to what Reuters reported.
Friday also witnessed the death of 3 Palestinians and the injury of others in Israeli attacks in various areas of the Gaza Strip, including drone strikes that targeted the vicinity of Ansar Roundabout, west of Gaza City, the Palestine Stadium in the city center, and a house in the Nuseirat Camp, in addition to gunfire and artillery shelling in areas of Khan Yunis.
According to data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 9 martyrs and 18 injured during the past 24 hours, while the death toll since the start of the ceasefire in October 2025 reached 1,454 dead, in addition to 5,090 injured, according to data published today.
The continuation of the raids coincides with an Israeli decision to impose a comprehensive closure on the West Bank and close the Gaza Strip crossings on October 5 and 7, coinciding with the anniversary of the events of October 7, according to what Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced based on the army’s recommendation and an assessment of the security situation.
The decision includes closing crossings and checkpoints to the movement of Palestinians during the two specified days, with limited exceptions for humanitarian and medical cases, in a step that adds new restrictions on the movement of residents in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, coinciding with the continued field tension in Gaza.
The expected closure comes at a time when Gaza is witnessing daily violations of the ceasefire agreement, while the West Bank in turn faces security restrictions, raids, and arrests. Today, Israeli forces reported that 15 Palestinians were arrested in various areas of the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Information Office.
