In her first statement since her dismissal from her position as White House spokeswoman, Katie Zakaria said, on Saturday, that working for US President Donald Trump was an “honor” for her, and she expressed her hope that “more Americans will appreciate it.” Zakaria wrote on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter) - accompanying her post with a photo of her with Trump in the Oval Office - saying: “President Trump is a kind, wonderful, generous, caring, enthusiastic, and hardworking man.
I wish more Americans appreciated it. No one will ever be able to make America great the way he did, and continues to do. It was an honor to work for him.”
During a brief press briefing she held on Tuesday, Zakaria told reporters that she had aspired to work with Trump for a long time, and it is noteworthy that her period in office did not exceed 5 days.
