The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority said on Wednesday that an unknown projectile hit a tanker 30 nautical miles southeast of the Iraqi port of Al-Faw, in an incident that occurred on October 20.

The authority reported that the tanker's crew was fine, and there were no reports of any damage or environmental impacts.

The authority announced earlier Wednesday that an unknown projectile hit a tanker 11 nautical miles west of Bukha, a city in the Sultanate of Oman overlooking the Strait of Hormuz.

Since the outbreak of war at the end of February, Iran has largely disrupted traffic through threats and attacks on ships. US forces also repeatedly attacked Iranian ships.
