Under the directives of the leadership, Saudi Arabia, through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, provided a new impetus to support the Yemeni budget with more than 224 million Saudi riyals, equivalent to about 59.7 million dollars.

The new financial payment is allocated to cover operational expenses and salaries, in order to enhance the stability of the Yemeni people.

The support also aims to contribute to the regularity of government financial flows and the disbursement of salaries. It also supports the efficiency of financial policy, thus stimulating the advancement of the economic and social development process towards a more sustainable path.

The Saudi News Agency, SPA, indicated that the new payment reflects positively on enhancing purchasing power and regular income for families, as well as stimulating commercial markets.

The announcement of the new support for the Yemeni budget coincides at a time when Yemen began launching its military operations against the Houthi militia to restore the remainder of the territory of the Republic of Yemen, and extend the sovereignty of the state and its institutions over all national territory, according to what the Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, said in his speech today.

For his part, Al-Alimi stressed in his speech that “Saudi fraternal support contributed to the steadfastness of state institutions and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people,” noting that the Kingdom remained a second homeland for millions of Yemenis who found in it open doors for work, life and safety, saying: “The Yemeni people will preserve the Kingdom’s positions in their national memory forever.”

In a related context, Saudi Arabia is the largest historical supporter of Yemen, humanitarian, developmentally and economically, while the development and economic interventions provided by the Kingdom with a value exceeding $12.6 billion during the period between 2012 and 2026 constituted a fundamental pillar in strengthening the ability of Yemeni institutions to continue providing services to the brotherly Yemeni people, and alleviating the severity of economic and social pressures, including deposits and grants to the Central Bank of Yemen, to achieve the level of financial balance and support macroeconomic stability in the Republic of Yemen. Migraine.

In addition, development interventions through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen have achieved a positive impact in consolidating the foundations of sustainable development, reducing the humanitarian and economic impacts, and achieving comprehensive development that benefits present and future generations.

The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen presented a matrix of development projects and initiatives in eight vital and basic sectors, amounting to 300 development projects and initiatives, which contributed to raising the efficiency of infrastructure and basic services, building the capabilities of Yemeni cadres, and providing job opportunities, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable and comprehensive development for the brothers in Yemen.
