Egyptian actor Riyad Al-Kholy criticized actor Mohamed Ramadan's display of the fleet of cars he owns, considering that this behavior may represent a kind of provocation to the public in light of the social and economic conditions of Egyptian society.
Al-Kholy said during his interview with the media, Yasmine Ezz, on the MBC channel, on Saturday: “He has a show of his fleet of cars, no, it is not nice, it is not nice.. May God give you strength and increase you, but you are provoking people.”
On the other hand, Yasmine Ezz defended Mohamed Ramadan, considering that his display of what he possesses may be linked to his desire to show the blessings he has received, considering that Ramadan is subjected to “a state of surveillance that makes some of his actions interpreted as a provocation,” explaining: “All the time, any movement he makes is a provocation to them, even if he appears and says peace be upon you.”
But Al-Kholy reiterated that evaluating this behavior must take into account the nature of Egyptian society, saying: “We are in an Egyptian society where the poverty rate is high, and the simple people are very numerous,” stressing the need for these actions not to represent a “provocation to the people.”
Al-Khouli also stressed that his criticism is not related to the possession of wealth, but rather to the way in which it is displayed, pointing out the difference in the nature of Egyptian society from some other societies, citing a number of businessmen who, in his opinion, combine wealth with consideration for the conditions of the simple, saying: “Here is Hajj Mahmoud Al-Arabi, these people are God’s servants, but they also see the simple people and they accomplish and do good deeds.”
It is noteworthy that Mohamed Ramadan is known for owning a large number of luxury cars, as press reports indicated that his fleet includes more than 16 cars, including “Lamborghini” and “Rolls Royce.”
Last year, Ramadan announced that a Mercedes Maybach van had joined his collection, and posted a clip on his Instagram account in which he commented, saying: “The fleet has increased, hopefully we will close 100 of them, God bless.”
Note that Ramadan's display of his cars usually sparks controversy on social media on several occasions, especially with the circulation of pictures and clips in which he appears next to his luxury cars.
On the other hand, Mohamed Ramadan returns to the competition in the Ramadan drama season, after an absence from the Ramadan race during the past years, through the series “Ashmawy”, where his last appearance in drama was through the series “Jaafar Al-Omda”, which was shown in 2023, and at that time achieved great public success.
