An official source in the Saudi Ministry of Energy stated that a drone was intercepted by air defenses on Wednesday morning as it attempted to target one of the laboratories in the Shaybah field of Saudi Aramco in the Eastern Province.
He also stated that the interception operations resulted in a fire breaking out in a vehicle belonging to one of the contractors working in the field, outside the factory walls, without affecting operational operations.
In the same context, the source explained that the competent authorities began dealing with the incident and taking the necessary measures, as the attempted assault resulted in the death of residents of Filipino and Nepalese nationalities, and two cases of injury to residents of Pakistani and Indian nationalities.
