Hebron - Ofoq News - The head of the Susya Village Council, Nasr Al-Nawajaa, said that the house of citizen Yousef Shanaran, located in the Wadi Al-Rakhim area, south of Hebron, is still besieged for the fourth day in a row by settlers.
He explained that there are intensive communications taking place with all concerned parties, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Palestinian Liaison in Yatta, in addition to communication with the lawyer and human rights defender of Musafer Yatta, Qamar Mashreqi, in order to put pressure on lifting the siege on the house.
He added that the settlers today also began rebuilding the settlement outpost located near citizens' homes in Susiya, which had previously been demolished by the occupation army seven times.
The village of Susiya, like other Masafer Yatta communities, is subject to a systematic policy aimed at replacing the indigenous population with settlers. The area witnesses daily organized attacks by settlers under the protection of the occupation army, including building settlement outposts on citizens’ lands, preventing them from accessing their pastures, attacking homes, besieging families, and demolishing homes, farms, and animal pens in an attempt to impose a new settlement reality and forcibly displace residents.
