Sisi: We will implement any measure to protect Saudi Arabia, and I call on Parliament to authorize this

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that Egypt will implement any measure to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, calling on Parliament to hold an emergency session to authorize this move “if we are asked to do so.” Al-Sisi added, according to Al-Ahram Gateway, that “Egypt is ready to implement any measure requested by Saudi Arabia to defend its security and sovereignty,” adding: “We stand strongly to protect and defend the lands of our brothers in the Gulf.”

Al-Sisi continued: “We must acknowledge the kindness done by the brothers in the Gulf, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, and Kuwait, and thank them for their support for Egypt after 2013,” pointing out that “the support of the brothers in the Gulf for Egypt played a vital role in restoring the capabilities of the Egyptian state.” This came during Sisi's attendance, on Saturday, at the graduation ceremony of new batches from the Egyptian Military Academy in the New Administrative Capital, where he asked the academy to "present a military salute to our brothers in the Gulf."
