Supported "Ending the Coup".. Bahrain Issues Statement on Saudi Operations in Yemen
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Manama's full support for Saudi Arabia's position and efforts to "end the coup" and "restore the state and its institutions" and "free Yemen from the threat of terrorism," according to a statement reported by the Bahrain News Agency on Monday. The statement said: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's full support for the position of the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its efforts, leading the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate Yemeni government to end the coup and restore the state and its institutions, and to free the brotherly Yemen from the threat of terrorism, and to reach a comprehensive political solution in accordance with the three references, which meets the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people for security and stability."

The statement added: "The ministry condemned and strongly denounced the continued blatant attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, targeting civilians and civilian and economic sites, and its encroachment on the holiest places on earth (Mecca and Medina). These attacks included the capital Riyadh and the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Najran, Taif, and Yanbu, in addition to Saudi ships in the southern Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait."
Bahrain affirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures it takes to "protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents, exercising its inherent right to self-defense in accordance with Article (51) of the United Nations Charter." It emphasized that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, under the mutual defense agreement.
Manama called on the "United Nations Security Council, especially the permanent member states, to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these attacks and threats to maritime navigation security and energy supplies, and to ensure the full implementation of its relevant resolutions, foremost among them resolutions (2216) and (2817), in order to preserve regional and international peace and security."
