Tattooing on the skin without pain...a new technology using microscopic needles smaller than a human hair

A new technology for tattooing with fine points uses microscopic needles much smaller than a human hair to draw tattoos in about 15 minutes, while its creators say that the process is painless. Antoinette Radford from Ofoq News went to find out first-hand how this technology works.

The team behind the technology, CipherX, says it uses microscopic needles, about a tenth the size of a human hair, to place tattoos on the skin without the person feeling any pain. The technique works simply as follows: You choose the design, take it out of a small silver container, place it in the applicator, and then place the applicator on your skin, where it stays for about 15 minutes.

CipherX founder Ferdinand Kohle says this technology represents the new frontier of materials technology in its technical applications. He adds: “I have never had a tattoo because I have a phobia of needles.

But somehow, based on my academic background at the time, I later had an idea: Couldn't this amazing emerging technology, known as dissolvable microneedles, be used to deliver dye? She wasn't "brave enough" to try it herself.
