- Mu’tazila Kuwaiti artist Raja Muhammad died on Tuesday, at the age of 64. Her daughter, Fattoun Al-Anjari, announced the news of her death, via her Instagram account.
The Kuwaiti Artists Association mourned her in a blog post on her Facebook page, in which she noted the late artist’s imprints in “the fields of television drama, radio work and theatre,” and the association offered “sincere condolences and sympathy” to her family and fans. Raja Muhammad retired from art in the mid-eighties of the last century, after a relatively short career that she began at an early age in the late seventies.
Despite this, the late artist remained present in the minds of Kuwaiti drama audiences, as she participated in the famous comedy series “Khalti Qamasha.” She also participated in the series "Small Dreams", "Our Life", "Fahd Al-Askar: The Journey and Departure", "Drought Kills the Dew", and in many plays and the famous awareness program "Salamak", and performed songs in the famous children's program "Iftah Ya Simsim".
Her last known appearance was in the operetta "Cinderella".
