The Taiz fronts are witnessing the most violent escalation between the Yemeni armed forces and the Houthi militias since yesterday evening, Wednesday, until today, Thursday. The clashes included the Salah and Al-Shaqab fronts, east of the city, and the Dhabab fronts from the west.
A statement from the media center of the Taiz Military Axis stated that the armed forces responded to a massive Houthi attack on all fronts of the axis and inflicted human and material losses among the ranks of the militias.
The media center of the Taiz axis said that its forces are engaged in violent battles in Bani Bakari in the Jabal Habashi District and Himyar in the Maqbanah District in the western countryside of the governorate.
Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath correspondent reported that during the past hours, the militias launched heavy artillery shelling on several government forces positions west of the city of Taiz.
The bombing targeted the areas of Al-Sayyahi, Hathran, Al-Dabab, and Jabal Han, and other sites in the Al-Rubaie area, the Air Defense, and the residential neighborhoods close to them, northwest of the city.
Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath sources reported that on Thursday morning, the Popular Resistance confronted a new Houthi attack in the Sami District, east of the governorate, and was able to defeat it after violent clashes during which both sides were killed and wounded, and the Resistance seized an armored vehicle and a military vehicle for the militias.
Meanwhile, on Thursday morning, Yemeni Armed Forces aircraft launched several raids on militia movements and sites in the Al-Ahkoum and Al-Athawar regions, southeast of the governorate.
It also targeted Houthi sites in the Al-Akbush area, the central hill, and the heights overlooking the Al-Khazja area in the Haifan District, south of Taiz.
