Hebron - Ofoq News - The Israeli occupation army spokeswoman announced the start of a military operation in the city of Hebron, claiming to thwart what she described as "terrorism."
Spokeswoman Ella Wawiyah said in a statement that the army began carrying out precise and comprehensive combing operations of the infrastructure in the region, with the aim of uncovering and neutralizing what she described as terrorist infrastructure and combat means, in addition to investigating dozens of suspects.
She added that the operation is focused on a specific geographical area that includes the area from which the attackers launched, noting that it is expected to last several days.
She explained that residents residing in areas of force activity will be able to leave them through three designated crossing points, after being subjected to security inspection and interrogation procedures.
This operation is a direct continuation of a series of anti-attack operations that were carried out since Friday morning, and include: mapping the homes of the perpetrators, imposing a security siege in the Hebron and Halhul regions, setting up checkpoints, and implementing anti-terrorism activities in the villages of the region. In addition to spatial planning efforts, which include demolishing illegal buildings that may pose a security risk in the clash area.
