These cities are crowded with millionaires. Here are the top 10 cities in terms of the number of millionaires

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Global citizenship and residency consulting firm Henley & Partners unveiled a report highlighting high-net-worth demographic data in the world's wealthiest cities during the third quarter of 2022. The analysis included more than 150 cities in five regions around the world (Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East) and includes all major wealth centers.

The data is from New World Wealth, which tracks the movements and spending habits of 150,000 high-net-worth individuals. In 2022, the United States dominates the world's 20 richest cities, with 6 American cities included.

The list also included 2 Swiss cantons in the top 20, along with 8 cities in the Asia-Pacific region. Of the 20 cities listed, 14 are in countries that host formal investment migration programs and actively encourage foreign direct investment in exchange for residency or citizenship rights.

On the list, New York City came in first, home to 345,600 millionaires. New York is the financial center of the United States and the richest city in the world by several measures.

It is also home to the two largest stock exchanges in the world by market capitalization (Dow Jones and Nasdaq). It was followed on the list by Tokyo, Japan, which has 304,900 millionaire residents.

In third place was the San Francisco Bay Area, which includes the city of San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Here is a list of the top ten cities with millionaires, according to data from Henley.
