Washington - Afaq News - The United States has threatened to impose sanctions on foreign financial institutions that conduct business with Iran or its sanctioned financial institutions.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury stated in a statement that foreign financial institutions that continue to deal with their Iranian counterparts subject to sanctions could face penalties at any time and without prior notice, urging them to take immediate action to halt these transactions and end related relationships.
