What condition did Ronaldo set for returning to the Portugal national team?

- The Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has set a condition for his return to the national team after leaving the team's camp during the current international break. Ronaldo withdrew from the Portugal national team camp last Wednesday without revealing the reasons amid a dispute with coach Jorge Jesus.

The network "Afaq News Portugal" reported that the 41-year-old will not return to his national team as long as Jesus remains, as the Al-Nassr player does not intend to resolve the crisis. The player joined Al-Nassr last Monday in preparation for upcoming competitions.

What did Cristiano and Jorge Jesus say about the incident? After leaving the camp, Ronaldo wrote on his Instagram account: "After the press conference of the national team coach (Jesus) and after a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation (Pedro Proença), I made the decision to leave the national team camp."

He added: "In due time, I will tell the Portuguese people the truth about the reasons that led to my departure from the national team, which I have always been committed to." He continued: "Now it is time for me to wish good luck to Portugal and all my teammates without exception."

Meanwhile, the coach said in a press conference after the victory over the Norway national team last Sunday: "If he plays with his club, he will be eligible for selection if he wants to return to represent the national team." He added: "In my opinion, you cannot blame someone in a friendship that has lasted a whole year because of a situation that is difficult to understand."

Jésus added about the situation that angered Cristiano when he warmed up in the first match against Norway without the coach giving him a chance to participate: "Just because it is him, and perhaps that was the right thing, given that he is a symbol - all this issue related to warming up and not warming up, and participating in the game or not, was raised." He continued: "How many players warmed up today and did not participate in the match?

No, then the matter raised all this fuss because (Ronaldo) is a symbol, right?" The coach denied that he had apologized to Ronaldo for not including him in the match against Norway and described media reports about that as "false," questioning: "What was there to apologize for?"
