On Thursday, the Yemeni Ministry of Defense warned citizens in areas under the control of the Houthi militia against participating in gatherings called for by the group, saying that they would be considered legitimate military targets.
The Ministry said, in a statement, that the Houthis take advantage of the gatherings organized under the names of tribal struggle, mass mobilization, and cultural courses, to mobilize children, youth, and those it described as deceived, and throw them into death pyres in the service of its combat activities and its destructive project.
The Ministry called on citizens to stay away from these gatherings, warning against allowing their children to be exploited and putting their lives in danger.
