US President Donald Trump stressed that the Houthi attack that targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh represented a "terrible and unacceptable matter."

Trump said in statements to reporters on Saturday, "What happened is terrible and unacceptable."

For his part, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed the United States' strong condemnation of the Houthi attacks that targeted Saudi Arabia during the past few days, including the targeting of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday, which resulted in the death of 12 people, including an American citizen.

“These heinous attacks show a blatant disregard for the lives of innocent civilians,” Rubio wrote on the X platform. “They must stop immediately.”
