A Syrian civilian with disabilities was killed by Israeli forces’ bullets during their incursion into the village of Jamla in the western countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.
At dawn on Thursday, Israeli forces entered the village with seven armored vehicles, deployed snipers over civilian homes, and fired randomly between residential neighborhoods, simultaneously with searching a number of homes, resulting in the death of a civilian, according to what was reported by the Syrian Al-Ikhbariya channel.
For its part, the Syrian Civil Defense announced through its account on the “X” platform that a young man with disabilities, suffering from Down Syndrome, was killed by Israeli forces who stormed the village at midnight last night.
In neighboring Quneitra, at least 50 Israeli soldiers entered the town of Taranja, where they arrested four people.
On October 17, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani stated that Israeli incursions into Syrian territory destabilize the region, holding Israel fully responsible for the repercussions of the escalation, and demanding adherence to the disengagement agreement signed in 1974 in the Golan Heights.
Meanwhile, Damascus has repeatedly confirmed during the recent period that Israel continues to violate the 1974 Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, including raiding civilian homes, arresting them, and leveling lands.
The Syrian authorities also called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Syria and for the international community to take action.
