Yemeni Prime Minister Shaye Al-Zindani confirmed on Thursday that his government will continue to perform its duties and proceed with Operation “Yemen Dawn” until ending the Houthi coup and restoring state institutions, following the missile attack that targeted the Ma’ashiq presidential palace in the interim capital, Aden.
Al-Zindani said, in his first comment on the attack, in a tweet published on his personal page on the “X” platform, that targeting the palace with ballistic missiles represents an extension of what he described as “criminal behavior” by the terrorist Houthi militia supported by Iran, and an attempt to undermine the work of state institutions and confuse military efforts aimed at ending the coup and restoring security and stability.
He considered that the attack comes in the context of the militias' efforts to undermine the resolve of the armed forces and the will of the Yemenis, stressing that the Houthi attacks will not deter the government from continuing its national responsibilities.
The Yemeni Prime Minister stressed that the government will continue to support Operation “Yemen Dawn” until state institutions are restored and its authority is extended over the entire Yemeni territory.
Al-Zindani's statement came after a missile attack officially claimed by the Houthi militias that targeted Ma'ashiq Palace, the seat of the government in Aden, while the Ministry of Information confirmed the safety of the Prime Minister and members of the government following the attack that led to the killing of two palace guards, according to preliminary information.
