“I spoke to him before coming to Saudi Arabia.” The Al-Ahly player reveals what Ronaldo told him about the Kingdom

The Turkish defender of the Saudi Al-Ahly Club, Merih Demiral, revealed the role that the Portuguese star played in convincing him to come to the Kingdom, describing him as an “example” to follow. “Cristiano is a role model,” Demiral said about Ronaldo on The Mo Show podcast.

Everything is real; How professional he is, and how he sacrifices himself.” Demiral continued about Cristiano, who played with him at Juventus: “Despite his age, he is amazing.

He's still doing great things; "It's a real example." He added, "People don't know this, but we correspond constantly; Before I came to Saudi Arabia, I spoke to him and he told me to come here.”

He continued: “Chris helped me make my decision to come here. He told me that the people here are very nice, and that they will receive me very warmly.

“I am very happy to see him pushing himself for the better and achieving amazing achievements.” Ronaldo has faced Demiral many times in recent years in the Saudi Professional League, with the former playing for Al-Nasr and the latter for Al-Ahly.
