El Al is working to evacuate Israelis from Dubai after Flydubai suspended a number of flights

- The Israeli national airline El Al announced that it is working to evacuate Israelis stranded in Dubai, after Flydubai suspended its flights to Tel Aviv following the stabbing incident and attempted plane hijacking that occurred on Wednesday. An El Al spokesman told Ofoq News that no date has yet been set for the evacuation flights.

Flights between Dubai International Airport and Ben Gurion Airport have increased in recent years. The signing of the “Abraham Accords” in 2020 led to the normalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, allowing the resumption of commercial aviation services between the two countries. Flydubai usually operates 70 flights a week from Dubai to Tel Aviv, and it was the only carrier on this route in recent months after Israeli airlines suspended their flights to Dubai due to the war with Iran.

More than a million Israeli passengers traveled to Dubai in 2025, according to data from Tel Aviv Airport.
