To prevent "disaster"... A Saudi prince comments on the visit of the "Mecca Pact" to Tehran

Saudi Prince Abdul Rahman bin Musaed described those who believe that the visit of representatives of the “Mecca Alliance” countries to Tehran was aimed at discussing the Houthi attacks on the Kingdom as “politically naive and foolish,” noting that the main goal is to prevent a “catastrophic” escalation in the event that mediation efforts between America and Israel on the one hand and Iran on the other hand fail.

Abdul Rahman bin Musaed previously wrote on his page on the “X” platform, Twitter: “Naive and foolish - politically - who believes that the visit to Tehran by the countries of the Mecca coalition aims to talk about the attacks of the Houthi militia on Saudi Arabia. The war between America and Israel on the one hand and Iran on the other hand is coming again and will be renewed. The Gulf - with all its countries - will return to what it was at the beginning of the war of Iranian targeting of its infrastructure and civilians, and the gates of hell will open on Iran and the entire region, if it does not succeed.” “The Qatari mediation and the visit of the Mecca Pact countries came as a continuation of the Qatari mediation in reaching a peaceful solution that would prevent this catastrophe.”

The Saudi prince added: “For this and this only, the visit was made. Whoever does not realize this is short-sighted and has no vision at all.” Prince Abdul Rahman bin Musaed concluded by saying: “What is coming if efforts do not succeed in preventing it is catastrophic for the entire region, for Iran and its arms first, for the entire Gulf without exception, and for the economy of the entire world.”

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman visited Iran on Monday, accompanied by Pakistani Army Commander Asem Munir and Turkish Intelligence Chief Ibrahim Kalin, where discussions took place with the Iranian side, which was represented by Secretary General of the National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei, President Masoud Pezeshkian, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
