Egypt.. The Ministry of Petroleum announces its decision regarding fuel prices

The Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products in Egypt decided, on Thursday, to keep the prices of petroleum products without modification, after reviewing the determinants associated with the automatic pricing mechanism during the quarter extending from July to September 2026. The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said, in a statement, that the committee reviewed the changes in the exchange rate and the price of a barrel of Brent crude during the third quarter of this year, compared to the previous quarter.

The Ministry added that the committee took its decision in light of the determinants associated with the automatic pricing mechanism, which include the most important factors influencing the determination of petroleum product prices. This came following the Cabinet’s decision to resume the work of the Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products, which is responsible for reviewing the factors affecting price determination.

The Ministry explained that the committee reviewed local and international developments affecting the price equation, taking into account developments in global petroleum product prices. The committee also took into account the price measures that were previously taken during the last period, before deciding to maintain the current prices without modification or change, according to the statement.
